On June 8, World Wide Knit in Public Day will take place around the world.  This tradition appeared quite recently. The first time the event was held in 2005 in Paris. Knitting activist Danielle Landes decided to hold such an unusual event in order to popularize her favorite hobby. She wanted more people to know about knitting, that it can be fashionable and modern, and not the eternal “only grandmothers knit.” 

Over time, the successful idea was picked up in other countries. All over the world, people who love to knit and crochet get together every second Saturday in June in public places - in squares, streets or parks, in cafes, in open areas - and indulge in their favorite pastime.  

We will organize this event this year on Savina (Herceg Novi), in an open space near our store. There are 4 outdoor cafes near us, let's settle down in one of them. Or maybe two, or all four, depending on how many of us gather 😉  

We will meet, each with his own knitting, and knit together, chat in a circle of like-minded people.
